Do you know how are wet wipes manufactured?

Wet wipes are produced using a combination of materials, including water, surfactants, preservatives, thickeners, and sometimes dyes or perfumes. Wet wipes manufacturing involves several steps:

  1. Mixing : The ingredients are mixed together in a large tank to create a wet wipe “formula”.
  2. Web Formation : The formula is pumped into a pulp forming machine where it is spread onto a moving belt.
  3. Moisturization : The belt carrying the pulp is moisturized with additional water and surfactants are added to the surface of the wipes.
  4. Shearing : The moisturized pulp is then sheared into individual wipes and trimmed to size.
  5. Packaging : The wipes are packaged into their final packaging materials and then sterilized to kill any bacteria present.
  6. Distribution : The finished product is then ready for distribution to consumers.
